Terms of Service

Effective July 1, 2026. Last updated July 1, 2026.

IMPORTANT

Agreement to these terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using any official Thrones of Aether service, you agree to follow these Terms of Service and all official rules that apply to the game, website, apps, APIs, Discord integrations, AI controllers, and community tools.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must stop using Thrones of Aether services.

GENERAL TERMS

Accounts and eligibility

Thrones of Aether is intended for users who are at least thirteen years old. Accounts are licensed access to the service, not owned property. You are responsible for your account, your credentials, and activity performed through your account.

ACCOUNT SECURITY

Credentials stay private

You may not attempt to access another user's account, bypass account security, or share credentials in a way that compromises the service. If your account is compromised, contact official support as soon as possible.

FAIR PLAY

Alternate accounts and AI

Multiple accounts and AI controller accounts may be allowed when used fairly. They may not be used to farm rewards, bypass cooldowns, evade punishments, manipulate rankings, inflate alliance attendance, or gain unfair advantages.

ACCEPTABLE USE

No abuse or exploits

You may not cheat, exploit bugs, abuse unintended mechanics, disrupt servers, harass users, impersonate staff, distribute malware, abuse referrals, or manipulate gameplay through unintended methods.

GAMEPLAY

Seasons

Seasons are competitive events that may start, end, reset, delay, restart, or change as needed. Unless official rules say otherwise, each season is independent and season progress does not automatically carry into later seasons.

GAMEPLAY

Persistent World

The Persistent World is separate from Seasons. Persistent World progression does not increase Season Power, Season progression does not increase Persistent World progression, and their rankings remain separate unless official rules say otherwise.

ALLIANCES

Leaders and members

Players may create or join alliances through official systems. Alliance leaders are responsible for managing alliance activity and making reasonable efforts to keep names, tags, descriptions, banners, and actions within the rules.

WARS

Invasions and war terms

Wars, invasions, territory transfers, capitals, and special war terms must follow official gameplay rules. War terms only apply when reviewed and approved by authorized Thrones of Aether staff.

GAME RULES

No troop stealing

Troop stealing is not allowed. Troop stealing means adding, recruiting, moving, signing up, checking in, or claiming a player as part of an alliance, event roster, season roster, invasion, defense, or official submission without that player's will or consent.

Normal recruitment, public recruiting posts, and voluntary alliance switching are allowed when the player freely chooses to join.

VIRTUAL ECONOMY

No real-world value

Fake Coins, War Supplies, badges, achievements, trophies, items, territories, alliance assets, rankings, and progression have no real-world cash value and may not be sold, traded, or exchanged for real-world value.

SIMULATED BETTING

Fake currency only

Betting mechanics use virtual currency only. They do not involve real money, prizes, cash-out systems, gambling payouts, or real-world value.

REFERRALS

No farming

The referral system may not be abused through fake accounts, alternate accounts, automated registration, or reward farming. Improper rewards may be removed.

CORRECTIONS

Economy fixes

Thrones of Aether may adjust, remove, or correct virtual currency, rewards, items, or progression where needed to fix abuse, exploits, technical errors, or balance issues.

API

Official API use

Official APIs may be used only through documented and authorized functionality. API keys are confidential credentials and may be revoked, suspended, regenerated, or restricted where necessary.

AI CONTROLLERS

Owner responsibility

AI controllers act on behalf of an account. The account owner remains responsible for actions performed by their AI controller, including rule violations or API abuse.

THIRD-PARTY TOOLS

Use at your own risk

Community tools, bots, dashboards, overlays, and integrations are not automatically endorsed by Thrones of Aether. Users are responsible for risks from third-party software.

API ABUSE

Prohibited conduct

You may not bypass authentication, avoid rate limits, scrape protected data, copy assets, overload the API, impersonate official services, distribute malware, or use undocumented behavior for unfair advantage.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

TOA ownership

The Thrones of Aether name, TOA abbreviation, logos, branding, website content, source code, APIs, databases, game systems, maps, artwork, UI, lore, videos, and promotional material remain Thrones of Aether intellectual property.

LIMITED LICENSE

Access only

Users receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the services for their intended purpose. This license does not transfer ownership.

FAN PROJECTS

Community creations

Non-commercial fan art, videos, livestreams, tutorials, strategy guides, community tools, Discord bots, and wikis may be allowed when they are clearly unofficial and do not misuse TOA assets or branding.

FEEDBACK

Suggestions

By sending feedback, ideas, bug reports, balance suggestions, or feature requests, you allow Thrones of Aether to use those ideas in the services without compensation or ownership claims.

COMMUNITY

User content

Users are responsible for usernames, display names, avatars, biographies, alliance names, chat messages, uploads, and other submitted content. Content must follow these terms and community rules.

PROHIBITED CONTENT

Keep TOA safe

Illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, NSFW, doxxing, malicious, infringing, impersonation, exploit-promoting, spam, scam, or disruptive content may be removed and may lead to enforcement.

MODERATION

Staff authority

Staff may remove content, restrict posting, reset names or avatars, warn users, suspend accounts, moderate alliances, revoke API keys, or take reasonable actions needed to protect the service.

REPORTS

Good-faith reporting

Users may report suspected violations through official support channels. False, abusive, or bad-faith reports may also lead to enforcement.

ENFORCEMENT AND LEGAL

Suspensions, investigations, and appeals

Thrones of Aether may investigate suspected violations by reviewing logs, API activity, gameplay records, moderation history, and account activity. Enforcement may include warnings, content removal, reward removal, gameplay reversal, temporary restrictions, suspension, termination, alliance restrictions, API key revocation, or other reasonable actions.

Where supported, users may appeal certain enforcement actions. Appeals must be truthful and relevant, and submitting an appeal does not automatically reverse enforcement.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without limiting mandatory Dutch or European Union consumer rights.
