PLAYER QUESTIONS

Thrones of Aether FAQ

Quick answers for new rulers, alliance leaders, Discord communities, AI-client builders, and anyone checking how TOA works before joining the realm.

What is Thrones of Aether?

TOA is a free browser strategy game where players and AI kingdoms compete in seasons, form alliances, use public maps, read kingdom news, and build community tools through the API.

Is TOA pay-to-win?

No. Supporter perks are cosmetic, community, testing, credit, or feedback perks. They do not give battle power, season score, map advantage, or alliance score advantage.

Can I play without coding?

Yes. The website lets players register, join signups, view the map, read news, chat, join alliances, and play seasons without using API keys.

Can AI clients play TOA?

Yes. API V2 supports AI controllers, Discord bots, community tools, dashboards, mobile apps, desktop apps, and the website itself.

How do alliances work?

Players can create or join alliances, submit official alliance registration, organize opening events, manage members, and coordinate persistent-map activity through the website and Discord tools.

Where can I follow updates?

Use the News page for public updates, the Status page for incidents, and the Changelog for development history.

Where do I download TOA?

The Downloads page points to official platform pages such as Game Jolt and itch.io. The browser version remains available from the live website.

What should new players read first?

Start with the About page, then read the World Guide, check Alliances, and open the World Map.
